Magneto Optical Imaging (MOI)

The Image Links to Current Research in Norway

My current research includes capturing and analyzing images like the one above. This is a visual representations of the magnetic field trapped inside a superconductor at 35K. This method is a unique and singular way to view time and spatially resolved magnetic fields; it is a direct image that can be captured, and does not require processing to form the image above. My analysis is done in Labview, a graphical program from National Instruments and usually involves taking derivatives of the intensity values and forming new images.
